(More customer reviews)Not sure how many hours I was able to get from it, but I had it for about 10 years until I had to replace it. I don't use my lamp that often. I probably use a total of 30 hours/year working in the basement or outside at night. I previously had a 500 watt bulb in my halogen lamp. While the 500w is brighter, it is also sends out more heat. I think this 300watt bulb is suffice and bright enough. By the way, if this is the first time you are handling any halogen bulbs, just wear gloves before installing it. Your hands are greasy, no matter how much you wash them, and grease may cause the bulb to burn out very fast.
